  1. Well they say "accountants have no aesthetic sense". After becoming another victim of ICAP City Library Lahore I really start believing in that quote. It's kind of ridiculous but you happened to find that library in a building having a multinational bank on its ground floor, a stoke brokerage firm on first floor and on 2nd floor you would find our not so very sophisticated library in a neighborhood of a leasing company. I think they intended that we should start showing to the students the grim face of the corporate world right from the education stage by opening a library right in the middle of a corporate world. Gone are the days when we expect some trees or lush green lawns around a library, nowadays around them we can find lots of ATM rooms, outdoor units of split ACs with trickling waters and boiling airs, big mighty generators with roaring noises and a whole lot of cemented jungles. The library itself would be more suitable for some corporate office, now having lots of study cabins congested with each other in different rows, it seems like no more than some Cybercafe. Besides aesthetics (which include my own psychological intense periods:) library is pretty much comfortable and have all the facilities which a student may require during his/her study session like drinking water, washrooms, soaps, cabinets, etc etc. Only one thing lacks in it i.e., updated books or books in general:)
